#25: The Movies

I have always loved going to the movies. I am writing this from the car (I’m not driving), headed to go see Tag in theaters. When I was in high school, I would see one or two movies in a weekend. Sometimes we would go so much, we would literally have seen everything that was out and would have to wait. I don’t go to the movies enough, but I love it. I swear I can remember who I was with when I went to see most movies. When the first Avengers came out, I was a junior in high school. A bunch of my friends and I piled up in a van to go see it, accept one thing was different about us… we were all dressed up like the Avengers! We even had a girl to be Black Widow. I was, of course, Captain America. I dream of one day writing for a film, cartoon, or tv show and being able to rent out a movie theater so those closest to me could experience it with me. We have two movie theaters near our house; one is a large chain, Marcus, and the other is this cool family owned place. It has really nice seats and tickets are always only $5; the only drawback is they only have two screens. Some of my favorite movies I got to see in theaters are Watchmen, Avengers Infinity War, Kick-Ass, The Dark Knight, and The Simpson’s Movie. Movies help me to escape from reality for a while. It’s especially nice when you’re at the theater because you aren’t at your house. You can’t just go and do something else you might be stressing over. You just sit back, relax, and enjoy some entertainment.

Everyday I will be posting an entry in my writing challenge 100 Days which has been collected into a print collection. If you are interested in purchasing a print collection: http://www.lulu.com/shop/austin-hamblin/100-days/paperback/product-23916414.html
